Simple Fish Pie Dinner With Brown Butter Asparagus

  • 1 Kinsale Bay Fish Pie
  • 6 Asparagus Sticks
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • Black Pepper

Intructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Remove the film from the fish pie and place in the preheated oven, set timer for 30 minutes.
  3. If needed, snap off the woody end of the base of the asparagus, this is when you buy them as a bunch, the loose ones are usually ready for the pan.
  4. Cook Asparagus in boiling water for 2 minutes, they must stay firm.
  5.  Melt butter in a saucepan and continue to cook in medium heat until the solids separate and start to brown. Then turn off the heat and add lemon juice.
  6. Put the asparagus with brown butter in the oven, 10 minutes before your pie is ready.
  7. Finish the asparagus with black pepper and serve alongside your Kinsale Bay Fish Pie.
