Pickling Cucumbers & Apple Jam Making


Apple & Date Jam 

  •  Cooking Apple x 1
  • Medjool Dates (Pitted)  x3
  • Water 1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon 1/2 tsp
  • Cider Vinegar 1/4 cup
  • Brown Sugar 1 tbsp
Cucumber Pickle With Elderflower
  • Half a cucumber
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Elderflower Syrup 2 tbsp
  • Juniper berries 5


Apple & Date Jam 

  1. Chop cooking apple and medjool dates (taking pits out) and put them in the saucepan. 
  2. Add water, cinnamon, cider vinegar, and brown sugar to the chopped fruit. 
  3. Bring them to the bowl and allow it to cook for 10 minutes. 
  4. Place in a glass jar container and allow to cool before serving. 

Cucumber Pickle with Elderflower 

  1. Chop cucumber into thin slices and place them in a cooking bowl. 
  2. Add salt, vinegar, elderflower syrup, and juniper berries. 
  3. Place in glass jar and allow to cool for a few hours or overnight to soften cucumber.
