Cork food producer Kinsale Bay Food Company partner with Aldi Ireland!
The Kinsale Bay Food Company, a Cork company that prides itself on crafting the finest gluten-free chilled Irish food products have announced that they will now be stocking 2 of their products with German retail giant, Aldi as part of their “Grow with Aldi” campaign from August 23rd. Kinsale Bay Food Company will be 1 of 38 Irish food and drink suppliers who will be listed in 132 Aldi stores nationwide. The selected products were winners of Aldi’s Grow Supplier Development Programme, developed in partnership with Bord Bia.
Co-owned by Jim O’Mahony, and Tommy Doyle, a 7 time All Ireland medal winner and 1986 3 in a row captain with Kerry, it has been a very exciting year for the Kinsale Bay Food Company having won 3 Free From Food Awards in May-2 Gold for their Seafood Chowder & Chicken Liver Pâté & Bronze for their Fish Pie. They have also recently been announced as finalists at this year’s Blas na hEireann awards in October for their Mushroom Soup.
Having originated in Kinsale in 2008, selling various products at the Kinsale town market, as the business expanded the company moved to a state-of-the-art gluten-free facility in Little Island, Cork. Using the freshest locally sourced ingredients, the Cork company is committed to producing their innovative gluten-free products to the highest standard. Their range of gluten-free chilled products include Ready Meals, Soups, Chowder & Pâtés and are available in SuperValu, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Centra, Artisan and Independent retailers nationwide. With his sporting background, Tommy recognises the need for products that offer both nourishment and a healthy choice to the Irish consumer and the company continue to develop their range.
